MemPro revs up in-house NOXFOX catalytic filter testing

Broomfield, Colo - April 20, 2009 - MemPro began testing NOXFOX catalytic filters on a 25 HP Kawasaki engine in its Broomfield, Colorado office. The test area was built specifically to house engines most commonly found on commercial "zero-turn" lawnmowers.

In September, 2008 the EPA announced new exhaust regulations on small engines, for 2011 and 2012. As a result, demand for cost effective aftermarket catalytic devices increased. The NOXFOX brand was introduced earlier in 2008 and several future technology partners contacted MemPro Ceramics to take a look at the new catalytic filter technology.

The new indoor test facility includes high-temperature thermocouples, an exhaust airflow meter, and a highly sensitive pressure transducer. The engine is controlled and monitored by a computer outside of the test facility.
